2. Non-Immigrant Visa
π Required for first-time applicants

Tourist visa or visa exemption usually not accepted

3. Certificate of Residence
π Issued by:
Thai Immigration Office π§ββοΈ
OR your Embassy in Thailand ποΈ
π Valid for 30 days only
π Used to prove your Thai address

4. Medical Certificate
π₯ Issued by a clinic or hospital
𧬠Confirms you’re fit to drive
π Must be dated within 30 days
π΅ Cheap β around 100β300 THB

5. International Driving Permit (IDP) (optional but helpful)
π If you have a valid IDP:
No written or driving test required! π₯³
π Bring your home country license + the IDP
π¨οΈ Include signed copies

6. Thai Translation of Foreign License (if no IDP)
π£οΈ Must be:
Certified by your embassy OR
Translated and notarized officially π
π You will have to take written + driving tests

7. 2 Passport Photos (Sometimes required)

You must take:

π» Driving test (car or motorbike)
π Physical test (color blindness, depth perception, reaction time)

π Then you can upgrade to a 5-year license
